Storytelling is a hard art to master. It requires the mind to be able to look forward into the future, reach back into the past, all while keeping the reader interested and in the present.
One of the harder aspects is the beginning. How do I start?
Those who have thought about writing and many who do write always have that initial problem of looking at the title of their story, and then wondering what to write.
The easiest way I’ve found is to just start writing. If you can, just write out the premise of your book. Soon, once you’ve gained a rhythm, you’ll find it easy to get things down on paper, flesh out characters, and then the real art begins.
As with everything, the first step is the most important one. Everything after that is relatively easy.
